Sometimes the Strongest Thing to Do is Pause...

I'd like to be honest with you.

If you've been wondering why there wasn't a June newsletter...it's because I needed a moment. Not because I didn't have anything to say. But because I needed to listen.

Over the past several months, I've realized something many of us are experiencing at the same time. Life has become heavier. Prices continue to rise, careers feel uncertain, families are making difficult financial decisions, and mentally, many of us are simply carrying more than we let others see.

    I wasn't immune to that.

In June, I stepped away for a bit—not from serving others, but to give myself permission to rest, reflect, and simply breathe.

Ironically, it wasn't until my recent Virgin Voyages cruise to Alaska with my mother that I realized just how exhausted I truly was. I slept more on that trip than I ever have on any vacation. At first I thought I was wasting precious vacation time, but then I realized something... Maybe sleep was exactly what my soul had been asking for.

    Sometimes healing doesn't look productive.

Sometimes healing looks like eight hours of sleep...followed by another nap.

Sometimes it looks like stillness. And that's okay.

Because if we never stop to refill ourselves, eventually we'll have nothing left to pour into others.

    Listening to the Season

One thing I've always promised is that Palmer Premier Travel will never be about selling trips just to fill seats.

It's about creating experiences people are excited—and able—to enjoy.

After watching what so many families are navigating this year, I've made the decision to cancel two experiences that were on this year's calendar.

Our Ghana New Year's journey has been postponed due to the dramatic increase in airfare, making it far more expensive than I believe it should be.

I've also decided to pause this year's Wine & Wellness Weekend. With so many people prioritizing family budgets and adjusting to today's economic realities, this simply doesn't feel like the right season.

    Neither decision was easy.

    But both felt right.

Sometimes leadership means knowing when to move forward.

Sometimes it means knowing when to wait.

Looking Forward: Costa Rica | March 7-13, 2027

    The good news?

We're absolutely not done dreaming. So, let's restart in 2027.

Escape to the breathtaking beauty of Costa Rica, where wellness, adventure, and nature come together to create an unforgettable experience. Your journey begins beneath the majestic Arenal Volcano, where you'll unwind at a luxurious resort surrounded by lush rainforest, tropical gardens, and natural hot springs. From there, continue to the peaceful coastal haven of Nosara—one of the world's premier wellness destinations—where pristine beaches, gentle ocean breezes, and a slower pace invite you to reconnect with yourself.

Designed to nourish both body and spirit, this retreat offers the perfect balance of exploration and restoration. Embrace unforgettable experiences like walking among the rainforest canopy on hanging bridges, soaring through the treetops on a zipline, gliding along peaceful rivers on safari, whitewater rafting, kayaking through mangrove forests, or simply soaking in the serenity of your surroundings. Whether you're seeking adventure, renewal, or meaningful connection, each day offers opportunities to breathe deeply, embrace the present moment, and create lasting memories alongside an inspiring community of women in one of the world's most spectacular natural settings.

If there's one thing I've learned over the past few months, it's this:

    Rest is not quitting.

    Changing direction is not failure.

Postponing something doesn't mean giving up on it.

Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is acknowledge the season we're in and trust that another season is coming.

Thank you for continuing to walk alongside me—not just through the beautiful travel moments, but through the very human ones as well.

Whether you're planning your next passport stamp or simply trying to make it through this week, I hope you give yourself the same grace I'm learning to give myself.

    We'll travel again.

    We'll celebrate again.

And when the time is right, we'll do it together.

    With gratitude,
